Again, thank you for your comments as I take them to heart, being the newbie to photography as I am. I've tried to duplicate this effect on other photos that I shot, but unfortunately the light is not quite the same as it was at the particular moment I shot this. (Damb work after all!!!). Given the opportunity, I will attempt to reshoot with your comments and critques in mind. Rain coming all week so I'll pray for another decent weekend. jstrong

This is an excellent image and i love the inverted effect. For me it loses it in the content of the words. No clear meaning. There is a great potential for something special.

I'm intrigued by the way the light shines on the sides of the letter pieces. Looks good. \Oved

Your comments are welcome! Actually I took the scrabble board outside on my deck and started shooting. The photo was half in the shade and the top half in the sun, making the top half somewhat overexposed. Put this particular photo in PS and messed around with the gradient layer and thought it added some interesting depth, so I just tweeked the contrast a little and that's pretty much it. Fly, I've never seen a scrabble board with all the letters straight!!! Maybe it adds to the battle theme? Maybe next weekend when the light is just at that right angle again......... :)

Jstrong,

I like the inverted effect. (*) Would it be possible to straighten up the letters? I think thiis would add more impact to the picture. theFly
