Good eye Mary Anne, very casual and homely. The water jug and the cane in one hand, whereas the other (empty) hand resting on the cage and your mom slightly leaning forward makes a powerful connection with the other living thing in the cage. Full marks for capturing an universal theme of "caring" in this picture. I also like the lighting on the iguana. - Cat

Actually, the iguana belongs to my nephew. My mom keeps a wary distance and refers to it as "that thing in there"...but she does worry about its welfare.
