This building houses a community police sub-station in a rougher section of town. Neighborhood youngsters created the mural, which gives an overview of the town, including the fact that our town is known as "the birthplace of the Morgan horse." The big dark brick building on the right was once an elementary school which the School Committee sold in a frenzy of cost-cutting about 20 years ago. It now provides much-needed housing for the elderly, but the school-age population has grown as well, causing the remaining schools to be overcrowded.
