Corner Texaco

Texas

This old fashion gas station sits at the corner of our neighborhood plaza. Texaco doesn't even exist anymore having been merged with another company but somehow this station still has the original sign and full service only.

Yes Texaco does still exist. I am a owner of a Texaco Xpress lube in Central Pa. They have merged with Chevron. Anyway nice picture.

YOU ARE WRONG. CHEVRONTEXACO IS ALIVE AND WELL. TEXACO IS BRINGING BACK THEIR STATIONS.

rod , there is a dumpster behind it a chinese food restaurant next to it, a brand new medical center across the street and a drug store that changes names every week on the other corner. If I showed you all of that you would lose the charm of this little station where the men sit outside and wave to you as you drive by. This is the place you call if your car doesn't start and they send out this tiny vehicle to jump start your car.

I would have loved to have seen more of what surrounds this service station......... stop fluttering your eyes at me...... OK it's on topic:-) Nice shot Melissa & the commentary made it work.

This looks almost identical to the Caltex service station where I get my fuel. They offer full driveway service ( a rare gem!) but are in danger of being squeezed out by the larger and cheaper Shell station opposite them.
