Awesome shot. I believe spaceship Atlantis is going to appear from the fog at any minute. I keep talking myself out of a DSLR, then I see pictures like this... thanks a bunch! - Tom

Balazs,
There would be no way of getting 25seconds at this time of day (sunset). Just far too much light. The filters cut out this light and for the same aperture, a decreased shutter speed can be acheived. The filters are not grads - ie they are an even grey.

Thats really stunning. I left my mouth open when I saw this pic. Really great!!

Just a question to Adam and Gayle - you really need an ND filter? Cant the aperture set small enough for proper exposure? do you use full ND, or is it just partial (hope you know what I mean, I dont know the correct name for these filters)

Adam I don't know if lonnit has messed with me brain posting her silly frames, but my mind won't accept the three rocks one on top of the other that appear to be defying gravity. Please tell me their fake:-)

Adam... Beautifull composition and balance. The three rocks gives it that special appeal... Well done!

Gayle - 25s at f/14, with the help of some ND filters and a polariser...

Adam, how long was the exposure? I've shot rapids and waterfalls like this (with ND filters) but this looks like a coastline. Never done that with the slow shutter technique. Oh, love this shot by the way!

As uncle Rod said, looks unreal (in an amazing way). Very impressive.

Rod - only PS to adjust contrast and levels to reflect the colours as I remembered them.
Rod 03-Feb-2005 11:11
That looks so nice as not to be real. How much is PS & is it just one photo? Looks very nice in a graphic sort of way. Well done.
