Thanks, Rich. This is another of those self-portrait ordeals...running back and forth to look at the image in the LCD, adjusting settings, pressing the self-timer, and then running back to get into position. I started with the idea of someone looking exhausted in front of a messy stove (that's steam rising in the back), but liked this cropped shot the best of the lot and decided it showed pain more than exhaustion.
Thanks for your comments, Rod and Alexieg. I'm glad you noticed the tilt, Rod. The image was originally straight, but I thought the slant would add to the impact. Also the messed hair backlighted by the BLOWN HIGHLIGHTS. LOL.
OOOOH I really like this shot, I love the light as it laps over the dark top with the grain. The angle of the dark top also helps with some tension in the shot. The silhouette works beautifully. Great work Mary Anne. Makes me want to pick up me camera:-)
