Shooting umbrellas inside seems to be a thankless task. Especially when all I have are compact black ones; no color, no umbrella stand. Don't be surprised if this shot disappears one of these days.
Rod , when I tossed them at the door, that's exactly what they looked like - tossed umbrellas. ;-)
This challenge is tough for studio shots. This is a good start. theFly

Hummm, I think it looks good Uncle Rod.
In my neck of the woods it's -20 degrees C. I suspect its similar weather where Jim is at too. I cant remember seeing anyone in my geological area (Western Canada) with umbrellas at this time of the year. They are not that popular in the summer either, no one in my family owns one.

Nice shot Jim but it's more an advertising product shot than a photo. Try throwing these brollys at the front or back door & see if you can get a shot in a more natural setting that may tell a bit of a story. You know like thats where visitors leave their brollys. You have to suffer for your art Jim so get out in below zero weather & get some shots. I did, my shot was taken in 32 deg heat:-)
