Very cute presentation. The stamp look really works for this one.

You can alter as much as you want and you can post what you want. If YOU like it, THAT's the most important thing. :) ~ Lonnit

Interesting to see how opinions differ. Hm, should I revert to the original, just in order to please Lonnit? ;-) I don't think it would be a good idea to alter entries too often, and meanwhile, I have got accustomed to this version so I keep it.
I used a scan of an old photo for the edges. If anyone likes it, feel free to download it herehttp://www.pbase.com/dk5ci/image/38119202/original and to use it for your own images. -Gerald

I think I prefer the original. This still has some effect around the woman but then the pond stuff looks somehow jay-peggy-messed-up. The texture on the pond really bothers me now and she looks cartoony. I think the intentionally oversharped one was more consistant throughout. It was enough to look intentional. This doesn't look intentional but does look to me to be sloppy and messy. I'm for sticking with your first instincts on it. I think you did a better job doing what you wanted than you did with trying to meet someone else's suggestions. ;) ~ Lonnit

I think it's much better. Now my attention goes to the image - not to the artifacts from oversharpening.
I also like the ragged edges - is this an action or how did you do it?

The effect was intended but I might have overdone it a bit. Now I have reworked the image completely but I am not quite sure whether I like this one better than the old one (http://www.pbase.com/dk5ci/image/37849986 ). - Gerald

I thought the extreme oversharpening was supposed to be an intentional effect. ~ Lonnit

Great shot but it looks terribly oversharpened to me, especially the greens on the river, the stones and the road. Do you have a softer version of this image, pre-sharpening?

Rich, thank you for your proposal. Good idea, I could not resist to give it a try and I like the result.

Great colors, esp the umbrella. I think if she was wearing a drab green top and pants it would be even more on topic although maybe a little surreal. Like it anyway.
