I am a teacher and besides all kind of sports i like to do these kind of balance stuff. To get the image fast enough the red eye reduction is not working. The girls made this up by themselves (after some points from me to push them a little off course). In my opinion the photo isn't that good, but it sure is complex!

Thx Nugar,

That sure helps, i will set the flash softer, i am checking the forums to find a way to diffuse my flash also, but with the ability to close the flash when i don't use it.
I know what an external flash can do, but i can't bounce to sealings or walls because they are all about 5 meters away, cealing is higher.
I will try this again, but with reduced flash and maybe 200 iso

I would say that your problem here is the on-camera flash. First of all, as it is so near the lens, it produces the red eye. Now, what I would do is reduce the power of the flash (I don't know how on the Pro1, but the instruction handbook should help) and maybe boost the iso to try and do without flash at all. You can also place some translucid white material in front of the flash to diffuse the light so it is not so harsh. But if you really want control, you have to consider buying an external flash. The Canon 420EX is a great flash for the Pro1, and the head swivels, so you can bounce it on ceilings or walls to have a better control of the light. If you buy it, also buy the Sto-Fen diffuser. Hope that helps.

and how do i get rid of the ugly flash shadows at the back of the girls? For instance, the highest legs. It is difficult to make a photo with this strange lights in the sports hall.

i did not post process this at all, except from a littl ecrop and downsizing. The picture is bad in my opinion but it sure is complex. I wanted to show this complexity of moving with each other instead of being against each other. I don't want this to be a price winning picture, i try to take a better one next week!

Why don't you get rid of the red eye in software?
