Wild Cucurbita Flower *

Today, while walking from my car to my office, I noticed this huge flower. It was at least 5", maybe 6" in diameter. It turns it is a Cucurbita, most probalby Cucurbita maxima, known here in Panama as zapallo. I think it is a pumpkin. I would think it is not really wild. Maybe someone threw the seeds beside the sidewalk.

LOL! You should see the original! *This* is enhanced. I left my compensation as -2/3 when it wasn't needed. I may move this to the exhibition later. Waht impressed me was the huge flower it is.

I think you could lift this shot with your PS skills Nugar. I think it could do with a little more contrast or lower the curves.It needs a little something more. Nice shot:-)
