Toronto

We're in the process of renovating the washroom of our century house. The walls were ripped apart for the first time in 50 years and after the first day of the project I decided to capture the whole process. The next morning I took this photo. Perhaps it isn't minimalist in the truer sense but the bare room and the hanging lightbulb made quite an impression on me.

The abandoned alley is all but gone- the washroom is now covered in white tiles. I'm glad I captured it in all its rawness.

i really like this, i wish the post in the left was a bit darkened to draw more attention to the light bulb, but i like the feeling and mood in the picture, almost seems like the beginning of a story... 'It was late at night, the abandoned alley shimmered in the moonlight.'
