The monument is at Fort Fisher, located at the mouth of the Cape Fear River.
The earthen fort was used to protect the city of Wilmington, NC from naval
attack during the Civil War.

post process:
rotate to get horizon...well...horizontal. Resize. Unsharp mask. I bumped the red color down slightly which made the sky more yellow and a little less purple.

Nice compostion. Did you use any post processing other than resize, or is this created in the cam? Again Nice picture. John
