New Street * First

Chester County, Pennsylvania

Power lines are out. Right now I'm leaning towards leaving the side post in. I like the length of the photo and don't have any room to work with at the left. After cropping the post out it seemed to cut too much of the length off. I'll leave a copy of the photo without the double frame here for a while. http://www.pbase.com/image/32985071 Thanks for the great input.

WOW! I would be happy to hang this one my wall. I personally think this version is much stronger!

Bill, Tracy, iso, antidote, and Frank, thanks for all the great input and comments that you all have provided. I'll probably end up leaving this one as it is but I'll play around with it in photoshop to see what it looks like. Bill, I thought about taking out the utility poles in the beginning but didn't. It's still a posibility. Frank, I never thought about that before. I'll check it out.

Congratulations on a very fine shot. Imho, I would crop out the leftmost post or include a bit more of the fence to the left. As it stands now, you have a "double" frame with the actual left side of the pic and the post, which I usually try to avoid. Otherwise, all is said, simplicity, colours, composition - great. -Frank

Just simply fantastic. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I'm not sure what grabs me first... the awesome colours or the simplicity. This is one excellent image!!

Outstanding shot! the only thing that i would do different would be to clone out the utility poles. (minor, minor, minor) The image is so strong on its own!

Thanks Lee, Mark, Nico, Andreas, and Debbi for the nice comments. This challenge has taught me that landscape photography isn't that easy. I've certainly gone through plenty of shutter depressions to come up with one I'm happy with.
