When I fly, I always try for a window seat because I love to watch the landscape flow by far below. This picture was taken on a winter day as I was heading from the frigid Northeastern U.S. for Florida. The curvy band across the middle of the photo is a partially frozen river (probably the Connecticut River). I don't know how well the details will show up here, but at full size on my computer I can see individual buildings and even a couple sets of tracks across the snowy river. I never fail to be amazed at the beauty of this planet we live on.
