One of the most striking buildings in Japan is the Sky Building in Umeda, Osaka. Forty stories high is probably not so extraordinay but the design certainly is. The walkway at about half the height is great to take pictures from, as is the top floor that connects the two towers. On the circular, elevated top floor, designed for sightseeing, we can walk around and take pictures with a view of 360 degrees if desired and stitch them together to get a complete view of Osaka city. This building houses offices, movie theaters, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. The two tube-like structures that lead into the open circular space are long escalators.
