An amazing sight...you round a bend in the river, and there it is, on the edge of a very small city, hardly what you would expect from a state capital. The first time I was there, I wouldn't believe it was the capital building until I walked up and read the signs. Vermont is a wonderfully unique and beautiful rural state. --Mary Anne
