Old Timer *

Easthampton, Massachusetts

This barn is mostly obscured by development in front of it, but today I discovered a road leading to a new construction site behind it. I love its lines, especially the cupola on the barn, and the way the leaf buds on the trees behind it pick up the colors of the weathered boards and the roof of the outbuilding. I'm glad to see that it's still being used...maybe that will be reason enough not to tear it down. Such a lovely reminder of our rural past.

I love the old style feel of this, and the open barn door. The greenery at the back is a little distracting to me. If you are adjusting saturation - maybee a little less green there? Neil

Well ... saturation and sharpening seems OK for me, somewhat hazy look underlines the age of the structure

I have linked the action from the official thread. Anyone that wants it, can use it.

Drop me an email to nugar at nugbar.com and I'll send you the action. I understand that they work under Elements although I made it on PS CS.

I've never heard of a Velvia action, although I'm familiar with Velvia film. I'd be very interested in doing some post-processing, so fire away! I'm still feeling overwhelmed by Photoshop Elements, so I'll take all the help I can get! --Mary Anne

Hi Mary Anne,

This is a great shot that would benefit with some post-processing. Particularly from a Velvia action. I made on based on instructions found on one of the forums. If you want it, or would like to see how the picture would look, just holler :o)
