LOoks almost as if it were a read hot bar of metal. Could use something on the right to counter-balance, but is very intriguing.

Don't worry, I had my wife trying to guess for about half an hour. It is a light switch, one of those that have a red line of light when they are in the off position so you can find them in the dark. I tried to capture that, and it turns out that the plastic is translucid too, I hadn't noticed. Most definitely an unbalanced, badly exposed pic, I may delete it if I get a good one ;)
