* -> Based on the shadows I'm guessing you were holding the camera horizontally. The flash casts a shadow to the right and slightly below your daughter and is very visible. It's not a terrible problem but a subtle influence. If you had held the camera vertically with the flash above the lens the shadow would be below and to the left (mostly behind and mostly out of sight) of your daughter. It took me years to learn to consider where the flash shadows will be and hold the camera appropriately. Other than this minor issue the cropping, background, subject and your daughter's expressions make an excellent picture!
