I've only had the camera a week so go easy on me. Just straightened it and cropped it in PS7. I know it's a little on the dark side but i feel that helps brng out the candle more.

I agree completely pops, The only lighting (apart from the candle) was from a window behind to the left. Being new to photography i was aware of something 'not right' about the picture but unable to pinpoint it. I will take your comments on board for future work, thanks. whiteline

A cool idea but the overall lighting is just too flat for my tastes. It loses the 3d shape of the candle. Perhaps an additional light to the right to put more emphasis on the plug would do the trick.
