welcoming the new day (*)

Paris, France

My mom took this picture, while taking a walk with the dog. This man was making his ceremony of welcoming the new day, by discharging all the negative energy from the previous one, and taking all the pure and positive evergy of the new one comming from the sun (I'm not sure about the philosophical part, but that seems to be something like that). What I like in this picture is the concentration and the joy of that the man express doing his ceremony.

I've only croped the uninteresting pixels, and put the 3 elements together with PS.

Well, I had to speed up with the cropping and assembling, because I posted the result less than 1h before the challenge's end. And yes, you're right, I did not intend the middle one to be bigger, but I was so tired, that I don't even saw it :p Well too late to change it now :(

And for the ground, it is different, because he changed his position appearently. Next time I'll prepare my pictures and corrections not in the last minute, and hope it will give better results :)

Very interesting series and great capture for your Mom. I especially like the juxtaposition of western business dress and eastern pose.

Did you intend for the central image to be bigger? I can see how that works for a triptych, but when the images are so similar I wonder if you would be better off to size them equally. It's a little distracting to see the part where the sidewalk meets the wall not match up across these three frames.
