this building, currently the headquarters for Credit Suisse First Boston, was designed to be the tallest building in the world (in the early 30s) but due to the depression construction was stopped and it opened as is. I hear the funny thing about working in this building is that it has enough elevator banks to service a building many times taller, so it has a very inefficient internal design (it also looks a little like the evil building in the first ghostbusters movie).
