Well I liked the first but have to agree that this framing works better. Anything to bring more attention to the creation of life works for me. As to the topic, maybe one has to have experienced the magical lighting in wildflower meadows to appreciate it, but but I'm driven to try to capture it on those rare occasions I have the opportunity - very rarely successful. This does quite well and and compliments the primary subject. -tv
Thanks Penny and Doug. As far as the flower, I figure it can be interpreted as the bloom of life. What lead me to this photo was that I could still define the hand under the belly, yet see the flower. I did rid the flower later on, but do not have that shot entered here. jano
My favorite as well. I always leave plenty of cropping room too. I've been burned before by not having the room for certain aspect ratio print sizes that cut off important parts of the image. I like the lighting in this one a bunch. It's a sunny feeling picture and should show it. My only nitpick here, and it is being very picky, is the ill placed flower cutting her baby bump short. Excellent series. -Doug
I think I like this one best, especially the foreground and middle, surrounding the ethereal subject. I'm not sure if maybe the background trees could feel a little less cluttered somehow. Penny Street
