While scrolling down to see the comments, I accidently cropped off the top leaves and part of the top of the flower. It changes the attention to the tiny hairs of the bud and leaves the flower to deliver its wonderful gradient of color.

Thanks, Tom. I have left the leaves untouched because I thought they form a natural framing in a nicely contrasting color and they also catch some light and because they were there in nature. But, having taken a look at your example, I'll possibly change my mind, I like your variant better. -Gerald

Very nice capture of the light and details. Looks like one of my petunias. I find the two leaves at the top are distracting but could be cloned out without too much difficulty. See example in Pending. -tv
