I agree with Techo on all three counts. Nicely done. Penny Street

The shot has excellent color, clarity and contrast. The three C's ;)

Thanks Tommy and Sue Anne :-) Yep, I used the Canon 1.4X converter Suey. I like the thing for extra reach and the focus is still quick and snappy with it on- seems to have no slowing effect at all.

Nice 'freezing' action shot Brent.
Curious, your lens is at 280mm, did you use a converter?

so where's Rod on this one. "Water.. wet?" Ok I see the dog and it passes as far as I'm concerned. Actually it's eye-catching as a freeze action shot. The dog looks like something that was projected on to the water like a thrown skipping pebble. -tv

Thanks Doug, and I'm surprised you were the first one to mention the sharpening. This actually isn't sharpened and curiously came out of the camera with this visual assault to the eyeballs. I guess water frozen in motion looks this way and softening the image might make it more palatable. I don't think there is that much here to bother with really and this is destined for the pending/Rod gallery after the gallery fills up a bit more :-)

Great action shot Brent and great color as well. Perhaps a touch over sharpened? -Doug

Thanks Kiki :-) Yes Conan is probably 1/3 the size of this dog, but colored much the same. I wish I could get him to be this active though, he mostly watches his sister fetch and visits with people. He's much heavier than his sister yet eats the same limited amount of food and I worry about his long term health.

Great splash and colors :) I wondered if it was Conan but couldn't quite recognize him.. this one is bigger isn't it.

No floating rug Debi, just a very enthusiastic dog :-) My dogs go into the water very carefully but this dog went all out when chasing his ball out in the water.

I thought this was a floating rug - then I saw the tail - real fun shot - Debi
