Now I get it, because this picy looks like it's the type of picy that needs a long exposure even though it could have been done on a much quicker shutter speed make it right for the topic.
But the low speed of 1 sec wasn't needed at all because you have introduced too much refraction in this picy by using F32:-)
Rod, I'm afraid, you still don't understand what is this topic about. The idea of the challenge is long exposure, where 1 sec is just a bottom threshold. This particularly picture can be shot with other settings, but even if you set ISO to the max it still needs low speed as well as no viewer can get an impression that this can be shot on a day light. Low speed is essential here as distinguished from other pictures I mentioned.

Well F32 isn't normally a good choice for a picy unless we're trying to get 1sec on the shutter. Probably F8 & 1/4sec for 400mm would have been a safer setting. No doubt it might be the best of what you took but I think this should be lumped in with all the other 1sec picys here that you say didn't need 1sec. I'm only trying to keep a level playing field a:-)
Not quite true, Rod - this is a kind of photography where the low shutter speed - the idea of the topic - is essential. I did many dozens of shots here, following the sunset, with different lenses & setup. I posted this particularly shot because I found it the best.

Yes a very nice looking picy but as an example to us all about taking a picy that needs 1 sec or more this doesn't meet your topic needs. Normally this picy would have been shot at F8 & a much faster shutter speed. So I suppose we should just do as you say & not what you do:-)
