Nothing gets by you Tommy. This was taken while moving at about 65mph or so. -Doug

Doug it looks like you were actually moving when you took this shot judging from what appears to be motion blur in the foreground. But this picy has a threatening edge from the harsh clouds and black mountains to the shaded tones of the grassy landscape. Some painters like Van Gogh see yellows and even more greens as emotionally threatening colors. These things and the foreground blur evoke a sense of urgency to get out of this place. Only IMHO IMVHO IMVVHO of course. -tv

Thanks for the comment. That fence is there to keep snow from drifting over the road in the winter. I'm on a highway with very fast moving traffic so I didn't want to stop here that long. -Doug

The whole landscape is beautiful and the sky is very impressive. I love the north landscapes. The only thing I miss here is something in a foreground. It is a bit too much space there. Is that a kind of fence in a distance ? I would walk there and get it as a foreground subject.

Thanks for the comments. The clouds up here were screaming for a 10mm but I don't have anything wider in my bag. I thought about cropping some off the bottom but decided to leave the grass at the third. -Doug

I love the clouds but may be a bit less of the grass ? - Debi

Yes This is very good a. What I'm really liking with the past dew landscapes from Doug is the great colours in the grasses, a sort of colour tonal range. I'm really impressed with that & how he's keeping the mountains from saying look at me. The only small problem for me is in the luvely sky where we see a couple of BHs between the clouds. I always underexpose these type of shots & bring the foreground up if possible by dodging in PS. I've once or twice used the Shadow & Highlight thingy but I often don't like the look of it but it did improve one picy I couldn't dodge enough. Not an easy situation to expose for here so you did really well mate.
I myself would have used a 10mm super extreme wide angle lens for this picy but:-)

gorgeous cloud cover. And to think I thought your other picture showed us the great great west in a great great way. This is terrific! Penny Street
