oh yes... as adolescent cats they got through collars and bells at a rate of about one a month, but after an incident with her brother climbing a tree we decided that collars and tree climbing cats dont mix very well :-(

That is a cute cat (like the smudges on her nose) and love the light here. Have you tried putting a collar with a bell on her brother to save a few birds?

Very cute :)

birds are safe from izzi - she brings home leaves and twigs and the very occasional butterfly, but sadly many a bird's last every vision has been her brother :-(

What Dough said.. wonderful curve on the bench, nice distortion, spot on topic and a great catch to go. Nice and clean. Some bird in the distance might just lead a dangerous life lol

thanks all for your comments.
curiosity is Izzi's middle name and I had been trying to get her to look right into the lens - (typical female, contrary to the last - I'm allowed to say that as a woman meself) - so appreciate your positive comments about her looking off stage ;-)
haggis is wonderful - just dont think about what it is first time you try it ! I'm sure you can get it in other locales but I bet its not as good as the real thing from here.--------------peta

Is haggis to be had only in Scotland? I've heard it is a culinary delight not to be missed. -tv

Excellent example of how to use wide angle to amplify the moment and enhance the subject's mood and demeanor. Working in so close it is interesting that the cat is not distracted by the camera. -tv

Sharp where it counts and I also like how the curve of the bench curls around the cat's face. -Doug

This is a wonderful shot Pet, the cat looks almost normal to the eye but the exaggeration of bench close to the lens makes the composition here fantastic a. The cat peering to where we can't see really gives us some connection to the cat too. It's great to see a fantastic picy come out of Scotland for a change as well:-) Great shot mate
