Thanks, Tom. He was a member of our "party". At a point, walking up the drainage, that ridge converged with the canyon I'm standing in. He took the ridge up, so no waiting involved. He was keeping track of us. ":^). Cheers, -mikey

Amazing colors Mikey and great capture. How long did you have to wait for that person to climb up the hill to provide human scale? It was worth the wait. -tv

Thanks, Rod. The colors are 100% as is. I know its hard to believe, but that's why they call it "Paintmines". The local indigenous Am-Indians used to use this place to make their war paint, colored dyes, etc. The whole park is covered with lite blue, pink, red, maroon, yellow, brown and white sandstone. Very nicely lit picy & the differing scale of the rocks & background works a treat but the whitish blue under the main rock doesn't look right for the picy. For me this would have to go darker or something to get it out of attracting our eye. The lighting on the rock above it looks really good.
