Well I was first going to say good seeing but now I see it was only in retrospect which is even harder I think. Thoughtful work paid off with original pov beautifully framed. Somehow this very naturalistic and unpretentious result makes it quite a standout. -tv

Couldn't be more perfectly framed. -Doug

Thanks, RK, Troy & Kiki. Watch out, Kiki it'll get ya! Really, tho, I've enjoyed using it a lot. So glad I got it. Cheers, -mikey

I like the foot detail. Good one!

I 'm starting to feel an unhealthy attraction to that lens. This is what makes these challenges so fun.. and expensive lol. I read up on it: It has a near focus limit at 5.5 in. (14 cm). My Sigma WA 10-20mm, in comparison, stops at 9.4 in. (24cm). What a gem the Tokina is.. and usable on a full frame body as well, unlike the Sigma.. :)~~

terrific! That gigantic paw in the one corner opposite the OOF snoot in the other is just so good. Penny Street

Thanks, Rod & Kiki. Buddy is looking me in the face here. So, while keeping his attention on me, I was holding the cam at different angles and rotations, trying to get his foot in the corner, clicking away. I got lucky to get a decent comp here, tho I would like to see a bit more around the edges. This lens has super-fast AF and will focus very close to the subject. Thanks again, -mikey

Wow the composition here looks terrific mate, this shot encapsulates just what I was after. Even though the foot if analysed is too large for the body yet it looks totally natural to look at because of the composition. The paw in the left bottom corner & the head in the top right corner seems to work a bit of magic here by not over emphasising the paw as it actually leads us through the picy up to the head. It's not very often our eyes can be led from the in focus part to the out of focus part but it does here. The angle of the dogs head is just perfect too.
I want to know more about the difference between the fisheye to what's just called a wide angle lens, say a 10mm fisheye to a 10mm wide angle. I will start a fred at the challenge thread to learn more about this.
Anyhow great shot mate.
