Jano I posted a link to one part of a thread in our challenge thread as I couldn't get email details when I clicked on your name. Over a period of time this has come up a fair amount on the 5D forum. It seems the full stop Iso (100, 200, 400 etc) are done within the sensor by turning up the amplifier whereas the in between (50, 160 etc) are not done at the sensor but by under or overexposing at the full stop iso & then adjusting the brightness to make it look normal within camera software. Maybe this is only a problem for pixel peepers but I myself would play safe for best quality by only using the full stop iso (100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, & 3200)

I prefer this over the dandelions. It looks like this is either a big spider or a small rock so leaving the rock there for reference serves it well. -Doug

Rod... could you send me a link to the ISO debate? I've heard of many 5D owners using ISO 50 (or low)... doesn't make it right... but I need to research what all the noise is about. Thanks jano
