It looks like under exposure causing this look I did a white point thingy in levels & the snow came up white as it should be, wot do you think? I've linked this from Pending so you can get rid of it by removing the picy from Pending.

The branches are all topped with snow, which is why they're so sharply defined. I am puzzled by the dark background, though, because it was midday when I took it. I guess it's because of a combination of shade from the trees, overcast sky and the very short exposure time.

This is straight from the camera! quite impressive. Bit confused about the lighting... the sky seems dark/overcast, but the tree branches are lit well. - RK

It is not processed at all, except I think I lightened it a little bit. This is the color image, as taken.

Quite intriguing. Is this processed using the color negative... -RK

There looks to be a very good picy here but I can't get past the processing as it just looks like a underexposed picy................Or isit.

interesting processing makes the branches shimmer in a sort of spooky way.
