Ok Penny, were you lying on the sidewalk as this person zoomed by? This is really perfect, the timing, circles, and as Rod mentioned the color streak. Yvonne

thanks Sharon, Carole and Brent for the comments. Penny Street

This is quite the cool image Penny. I particularly like the wacky rear spokes and the way the red looks like a trail of sparks.

This works well Penny and would have been perfect for the DPC Abstract Motion challenge too! I like the stripes in the background. CJ

Yes, we did! This is wonderful, Penny! Almost abstract with that great touch of color and a terrific sense of motion! Good work! ~Sharon

Bravo to you Penny. This is brilliant. It would have had a good shot at winning the OOF challenge. Oh wait, you did win that challenge. -Doug

The other thing that makes this work so well for me is seeing the spoke patterns in the top of the back wheel. Without them this would still be good but with them it's great mate.
There's a couple of ways to make wow picys........One is to use photoshop techniques & filters where the novelty soon wears off & you see others using the same filters so your picys look liks many others. Or you can use your creativity & your camera like with this picy which no one can duplicate exactly, unlike the PS filter route. With picys like this they seem to stand the test of time...........................End of lecture:-)

wow, thanks Kiki (I had to look it up but now that I did, I've actually seen that painting at MoMA and I'm honored that this brought that to mind).
and tv, like I said, without you and Rod here I probably never would have had the nerve to post this so I'm glad you commented.

Reminds me of Giacomo Balla's famous "dog on leash" painting. Great movement and detail.

I like the balance of cross-fertilized patterns: straight crosswalk stripes and curb against the round bike wheels. The random color is very NY-ish. -tv
