Nice use of a tight DOF Bruce! I agree with CJ, lightening the thumb would draw the eye over to match the focal point. - angioman

Nice take on the subject Bruce. Your well placed thumb looks like it belongs there and not just placed there to keep it on topic. -Doug

Bwuce doesn't work he's a preacher & cleanliness is next to Godliness init. I hope he puts gloves on when he does that communion thingy putting the wafer in the flocks mouths a:-)
Good idea Bruce, although I wish the thumb was a bit sharper and lighter so as to be the focal point of the image, but still nice as is.
Rod, some people actually work for a living! :-D CJ

You should deduct 1 point for the dirty thumbnail:-)
Bruce, I'm taking the printed page to be the subject. The thumb could be more prominent with some more work if desired but it seems an appropriate lesser subject as a foil for the weighty main subject with it's sharply defined print and intellectual content. If you are familiar with my new objective and unbiased grading system for this challenge, TVCAERS, the page gets 4 points for a corner and three edges. The thumb adds the .75 for the lower corner. The OOF print works well to draw us into the far corners and edge: .75 each. Total: 7. -tv
