This one doesn't strike me as smack dab in the middle but who am I to judge... let the voters decide? Do you really photograph mundane objects like this on a regular basis, Rod? Seems to me you can find much more exciting things in countries outside of the US. He he. Markjay

Thanks Carole & Brent:-) I think this type of picy might be classed as old school Brent. You know where someone would ask......Why take a picy of a shopping trolley.

This is a good shot mate, nicely seen and timed. Somehow doesn't move me as much as it seems it does others- which is probably a good thing since I can be weird :-)

You did get a nice shot here Rod - good idea to wait for the shopper and frame this up with all the elements in place. Nice composition and colors make this work well! :-) CJ

That's what I meant "unanticipated". But the prior "setup" sets the stage to make it happen. If not, we walk away and don't lose anything except the thrill of near godliness. -tv

Thanks Tommy:-) This was going to be a partly set up picy as the trolley was around the other way so I turned it around & set it mostly on the light pavers. I got a few picys & then by luck the shopper came into view.

This kind of shot is a photographer's ideal - spontaneously coming together in so many ways not all anticipated - colors especially (as Charlie said). ..but flinching at the last second moved it off center. Easy to crop a? -tv

Thanks Doug:-) Yes never point a wide angle up or down...........Unless you want an ahrt picy:-)

Well done Rod, everything is in balance. Nice placement of the bystander too. If she were more on the sides she may be bending with those poles. -Doug

Thanks Charlie:-) A lot of times we rely on luck if we get a positive element walk into a picy. This lady with her shopping bags I saw walking from the right top corner towards me so I framed the cart waiting for her to move into a good position. She turned right so I just waited until the blank part of the wall was behind her & got just one shot.

How did you manage to get a woman walking by at just the right moment, wearing a color scheme that exactly matched the shopping cart? LOL

That, and you have the green plants, the red bricks, the green garbage can; it's a wonderful play on color.

I always put my trolley away Penny, I'm normally very good off the internet:-)

You went shopping for Mereana, didn't you? and you complained about it but now you need to thank her. Penny Street
