And I forgot to say that there is snow as well, so on the whole I guess you are about as correct as I can ask for.
It's actually a tiny red lamp (on a multi-colored light set), that was snowed in but then it became warmer so that there became a crater in the snow...
As a photo it is not very good, since I just didn't get it very sharp, but I liked the way it kind of looked like the sky with the 'stars' around it all. The next day all the snow was gone, so I had no chance of getting a better photo of it...

There is a lamp involved, but it not even close to being as big as a streetlamp...
