Thanks all and sorry to respond to your question so late Konstantin- been keeping busy. I really love the new camera and it has exceeded my expectations. I really like the brighter viewfinder as compared to my 30D, the camera seems smarter requiring less compensation by me regarding exposure, the colors are great and I see more dynamic range than I have in the past. I don't know if high iso shots have as little noise as is often advertised, but it has far less noise than my 30D. I'm very happy to have it and look forward to having more free time to see what else it can do.

Thanks guys, Mom taught me the dangers of yellow snow years ago ;-) This was just a shot for fun while I was standing around waiting for the clouds to part so I could capture an Ansel Adams masterpiece. It never happened, the weather gods didn't like me that day :-(

I would have eaten it as long as it didn't fall on yellow snow! The snow is very well exposed and the orange snow shoes just sets the whole thing off. ~dtallakson

Like the orange on a white b/g. Go for it mate, ice is clean.

This is funny Brent and well done too! The exposure looks good and the orange snowshoes really show up well against the snow. I'm thinking I need to go get a snack now! :-) CJ

I say go for it. It's cold enough to extend that 30 second rule to at least a minute and a half. -Doug

Too bad you're not in college still, Brent... it's a sixty second rule then... Time to shoot and still eat... *grin* ~Lydia

I would have eaten it as I was quite hungry on top of being very cold when I shot this Lydia- but I've got this ten second rule...
