k2, lol, you are probably right.

Rod, I liked the idea of it and want to push it a bit more. I am not expecting much out of it (some fun I guess) but you never know were it can lead. Worst case it ends up in a gallery in PBase :) I have some fun ideas already. Paperclips needn't be in love all the time! ;)

Cute :) There are too many naked people on this planet already. Go for the paper clips.

Christakis you said below "I'm hopping to do a series of different ones" I could understand if you had children & this would amuse them a.We're all adults here & we would rather view naked people than naked clips:-)

Hi Tom thank you for the comment. Penny you are right, it does look like a dirty park bench. :)
Guest 11-Jan-2009 21:29
Simple idea, well set-up & exposed.

The dirty eraser is what gives this any interest for me at all.
Like an old park bench. Penny Street

CJ, Thank you for your comments. I've thought about cleaning the eraser but then decided against it. I feared if I clean it, it might look too white. However I will experiment a lot more with these at a later date. I'm hopping to do a series of different ones.

Oh, for the cute! (A little Minnesota expression) I am a little bothered by that dirty eraser though - maybe you should have washed it first! ;-D CJ

tv and angioman, Thank you I appreciate it :)

I like it! My wife says "cute":-) I like the sense of depth despite the white background (dirty eraser). -angioman

Don't mind me Christakis as soon as the challenge gets a bit quiet I start to make mischief. Now you mentioned boring:-)
Guest 07-Jan-2009 11:34
...and yet you still come by and pay it a visit! Photography needn't be serious all the time Rod. For me photography is all about having fun and enjoying the experience (The result does matter of course). Daft, Clever, Adorable, Sweet, Too Cute, Funny... I agree with all... As long as it's not "boring" I'm happy with it.
Rod 07-Jan-2009 10:42
It still looks daft:-)

Thank you all for sharing your thoughts. Rod I believe this is one of those "love it" or "hate it" pictures. Initially I was going to submit a classic "many colourful paper clips" macro shot but then decided to become a little more creative. I tried lines, patterns, shapes nothing worked for me. As I was holding one I thought "Aha lets give it life!" :) 20 min later I come up with this. I was also thinking of giving it a sunset dramatic light effect but opted out from the idea. That would be a step too far :)

Itsa bit daft init.
