Hey Rod,
Actually there was no sharpening done. This is the aluminium screen frame of my iMac (I had no idea it has so much texture, looks shiny smooth). The 'halo' effect is from the speedlite placed very close to the bottom left. The apple logo is clear plastic, so I could go either black or totally reflective.
This is what I wanted, but am not completely happy with it. Thanks for noticing the details & keeping me on my toes.
*I did add 'sepia' tone.

This is strange Tom I assume this is a flat object yet the left side of the apple is very soft & the right side over sharpened with a halo.Did you mean for this effect?
