thanks Mary Anne - I'm not sure how different a lens can be yet, but I plan to give it time and hopefully it will give me perspective... Penny Street

I love the textures of the yarn. From the thumbnail, I never expected this to be one of yours, Penny. Is this lens taking you in a new direction?

thanks Brent, Rod, and Jano. Yes, it's natural light. I opened a glass door right in front of this to let the sun shine in. Penny Street

Bugger the lens it's Penny that's the keeper. A terrific study in light & shadow wiv the Zen like wrap around the piece of wood. This has a really nice feel to it.

Glad I opened up the thumb image- so much better bigger. That lens looks to be a keeper. Nice work Penny.

These inanimate objects seem to have come alive and established a closely dependent relationship. Good eye. -tv

I like the way you have used Depth of Field and shadow to highlight the texture of the material in the foreground. This lens is going to raise you to another plane of photography, I'm looking forward to seeing your work in future Challenges. But remember in life the good is balance by the bad - winning all the Challenges in the future will result in you being stuck in front of your computer as the Host - and you'll have no time to use your new lens, so send it to me. :)
