The Puddle

Sometimes Life gives you little gifts... If you look for them, you'll find the beauty in almost anything.

(High speed is because I was shooting one of my son's jump shots when I saw the puddle. )

Canon EOS 40D ,Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM
f/3.2, 1/1300th sec, iso 400, 153mm full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Btw, "manly" is a Rod's term, while "tension" and/or "positive tension" is Trade Marked (TM) to me. So now you owe 5 cents to each of us. Wait! maybe you just invented a new term yourself, manly tension :)

Nice Lydia. I think I might have cropped it a bit more actually LOL! We all have our own opinions don't we! I like the contrast of the bright leaf against the monochrome look of the rest of the image - it really draws the eye. CJ

I see what you are going for here Lydia, but would like to see the whole puddle in order to see it as an oasis surrounded by drab.

That's my point exactly, YB. The leaves in the puddle in the middle of an otherwise ugly place... can be beautiful.

The puddle and flower are delightful but I find the surrounding surface a distraction.
