Maybe this is a stretch since the concrete barrier occupies so little space in the image?

Thanks Troy and Aam :-) Yes no filter Aam. A CP filter would have been nice for the sky but would have eliminated some of the reflection on the water too.

Thanks Tommy and Carol :-) That's actually a sunset looking out toward the ocean Carol. We had an even better sunset for capturing both the city and Mt. Rainier to the SE today. I couldn't get all my work done before sunset so I grabbed my camera pack and ran out expecting to come back to work later but with some nice images in my camera. I got a good spot on a hill and the glaciers on the mountain were started to glow with the waning light. I setup my tripod and unzipped my pack- no camera! I left it at the office, such as disappointment :-( Maybe next weekend if the weather is right.

It's good that you weren't tempted to overdo the saturation because it looks quite natural and suits the subject in the subtle use of the concrete edge of the reservoir as a border between the reflection and the scene. Nice work. -tv

Thanks you guys, it was nice to break away from work for a moment and shoot again to get this "shoehorn" shot ;-) The sunsets are coming early in the day here now and it is frustrating to look out the window at them from the office. I tell you if I lived in a house down below this reservoir on Capitol Hill I wouldn't feel too comforted seeing all those cracks in the concrete!

It works for me Brent. You can almost feel the strength of the concrete band holding all that water in place. BTW, you got any water to spare, we're a bit a bit short of it in Oz :) - keithinmelbourne
