Thanks Keith:-) This was after, we were lucky here in the bayside & missed all the bad stuff.

Good shot Rod. The colours are nice and the plant softens the strong lines nicely. Was this before or after your recent deluge?~keithinmelbourne

Thanks Doug:-)

Another picture full of life and texture. Well done Rod. -Doug

Thanks Penny & Aamm:-) Yes grill, grate, or as we call em, a drain hole.
ctfchallenge28-Nov-2008 04:32
it's a great grate - go figure! Penny Street

Don't have much to add, but that grill (what is it called in English) adds positive tension (TM).
Rod 25-Nov-2008 07:30
You're doomed to a life of looking down now Kiki, that balcony View (TM) is addictive & producing great picys.....................for a girl........even a Nordic one:-)
ctfchallenge24-Nov-2008 22:32
lol Rod. This has a Balcony View (TM) feel to it that I like.

I didn't have to stoop Troy, this is where I woke up:-)hehe Thanks mate:-)
Guest 24-Nov-2008 14:09
How could you stoop so low Rod? Good job with this one.
Rod 24-Nov-2008 06:27
Thanks Carole:-)

Really nice composition Rod, and the green plant growing out of the drain contrasts beautifully with the gray concrete. :-) CJ

Thanks Brent:-) We've had a shocking week of hot humid weather & a few wicked storms. On the bright side we got two months of water into our dams taking them to about 41% full.....Or is that 59% empty:-)
ctfchallenge23-Nov-2008 04:27
Good one Rod- I like the slime and the splashing in the grate. So it's getting hot down there eh? I shot a little after work today and people in the park were complaining about the cold- they'll really be miserable in a couple of months.

Thanks mate:-)

Undeniably concrete and great title. Stay with the basics and cling for life or go down the drain - a timely analogy for surviving in these difficult times. -tv
Rod 22-Nov-2008 21:08
Thanks Debi:-) Yes it's the same here & we've had some ripper storms come through which helps to make it nicely humid & hot:-)

I have a black thumb all my plants die. And Rod I would ask you to go out and shoot, but I know exactly how you feel. Its 35 degrees C here and I dont want to step out of my room - Debi
Rod 22-Nov-2008 13:23
Thanks YB:-) No doubt if I carefully removed this & put it in our garden it would keel over in no time.
Guest 22-Nov-2008 10:40
I really, really like this one: the composition, and so much of interest to look at.
Why is it that plants grow in the most challenging places, yet all my house plants die. :(
YB

Thanks Penny & DT:-) I haven't ventured out from home yet as I didn't want to leave the air conditioner:-)

I like this one, Rod. No matter how much concrete we pour nature always tries to take it back. ~dtallakson
