Thanks Kiki, I keep all comments in my head for future reference, and Rod's comments are always useful - Debi

I like this. Motif and the wonderful textures. (And I can see why Rod aches to play with it :)

There's different types of photography Debi, documentary, recording wot is there & ahrtiiiiiistic, recording what your imagination see's as there. It's always your choice.

hanks Doug, Rod, Lydia, Carole,Tommy & YB. I like the burnt versions, I am really terrible at that but I feel this is more true to the original. 9 am on a July morning the, heat and light is supposed to burn your eyes. I am not putting it across to well but I appreciate the feedback. Debi

Great shot - the steam misted my glasses.

I think this one is perfect and then I look at what tv did (in pending). I will have to admit that, when I see them side to side, I do like the guy a little more subdued. But the photo is stunning. Great work. Penny Street

I guess that like many of us, we take such great shots and then have no topic to submit them to. So finally. Wonderful working portrait and enticing monochrome tones with that smoke/steam frozen in time and space. -tv

Diff'rent frosting for diff'rent folks! ;) That's the beauty of photographic art. ~Lydia

This is terrific Debi but I do agree with Rod about the brightness of the customer being a bit distracting. I think burning those areas does bring the focus back to the main subject. I really like this - a slice of life from your part of the world! :-) CJ

Obviously you like different frostings on your cake than I do Lydia:-)hehe

No, Rod. I totally disagree... My eye was all into the whole cooker dude being the subject and then BOOM!... that customer brought me to a whole new vision.

Inventive and well processed, Debi. I really like this. ~Lydia

I stuck your picy in pending showing roughly how I like it.

Almost a wow from me too. The bloke cooking & the tone of his surroundings is just perfect but the well lit bloke in front spoils the effect for me. I would luv to see him burnt in so the bloke cooking is the only focal point. You girls are putting us blokes to shame, I think I might have to have the operation:-)
