so I guess I like the crop better, but it's lost some of it's brightness with the burning. I kind of liked seeing the light hit the 2 lower rooftops Hmph.

Thanks Rod. The crop works without question but lately I'm trying to emulate yourself and others such as Cartier-Bresson and do better framing in the viewfinder, i.e.: no cropping allowed. However, with your approval, I have now cropped. So thanks. I wanted to get that worker centered and now I can. -tv

This does work great for the topic & even stands on its own as a picy. The big rod/beam thingy (girls talk) really ties the picy together & is the main topic element for me. The only thing that bothers me is the rod/beam thingy ending & not going out of the picy which seems to jar me eye a little bit. I did a small crop on the left & the picy came more to life for me, I put it in Pending. You know me I couldn't resist a bit more of a burn in on the blue parts of the sky & under the building:-)
Excellent picy anyhow mate.
A ladder would have been a great diagonal too (as I'm hoping there's one nearby - this poor fellow!!) Having gotten that out of the way - this is a striking piece of photography. The fact that the man's head is pointing up to the clouds (higher than the peak of the building) is masterful and the choice of b/w works really well as does the placement of that big rod/beam thingy slicing right through the picture.
