Decided to move this out of eligible to make room for something besides flowers...

I like the lighting of the top green leaves as is. I think it helps lead the line down the stalk.

The lighting here is excellent Karl! Not an easy task with this subject. Of the many suggestions, if I were to change anything I would nix the greens - but this pic works great as is! -angioman

That's funny Karl! How about just burning those top leaves a bit so they aren't so bright then - about the same amount of darkness as those on the right top as Doug suggested? CJ

Ha, that is pretty much what I had done in Orchid 1, which people said was inferior to this one! Those were my two favorite compositions out of this same shot, one including the flower bud at the top here and one not. Maybe I'll try recomposing Orchid 1 again and replace this...

Lovely Karl - everyone has a suggestion....including me! I'd crop out the bright leaves on the top entirely as they just draw the eye away from those gorgeous flowers and don't add to the composition. Beautiful colors! :-) CJ

This is very nice Karl.

This works perfect for the topic. Well done. I would turn down the lighting on the greens at the top left though. -COAmature

I'll see what I can do, but I may need a trapeze! This was cropped from a full-zoom shot looking straight down on the garden from an upstairs balcony...

I think this is my preferred version too Karl although I would be curious too what closer in might produce. Nice delicate color.

I'd like to see another version closer to the flowers.
