Rod,
like this yellow color-light-flow from insight of the flower. Very elegant!

We haven't seen one of these for a while. I thought it was one of your torch-lit shots although I was puzzled by the bits of glare. Nice result under the circumstances but with all the surrounding black, the red blotch on the bottom edge cries for cloning. -tv

Thanks Brent:-)

Excellent shot mate! It seems it is so easy to overwhelm the sensor with reds, but you've done a great job of holding nice detail here. Great work Rod.

Thanks Mary Anne, Penny & Aamm:-) This flower was in the direct sun at the edge of our patio & I shot using the shaded area under the patio as background. Because I exposed for the highlights the shaded area goes near black & a bit of a dodge to finish.

OMG, I almost posted a photo of my orange clivia (I know that you don't know flower names, Rod, so I thought I'd help you out on it.) that's blooming right now. In our climate, however, they're indoor plants that vacation in our backyard for the summer. This is a nice shot that really captures the vivid colors.

Rod takes flower pics! What's next, sunsets :) Seriously, this is an excellent photo, mate. You should do more of these.

Mate, how did you get the black B/G.
