July 2008 Lydia too

Summer Fun!

One of my favorites from this summer. The tube pulls behind a boat and spins while the kids fly around... but it's supposed to be horizontal. *grin*

Too much fun! :) (Yes, the color really IS that obnoxious! *smile* )

From looking at this shot fun is the name of the game. No doubt about that :)
You folks have the most fun with water sports. What a great summer.

Excellent fun action and greens.

You've got a great graphic sensibility Lydia. This proves it. What a transformation of a fun action shot into its graphic equivalent. It's action that denies action in spite of all the facial and body expression. Kind of Norman Rockwellishly frozen. -tv

You have a good point Konstantin & I think the colour should be the focal point in a well composed picy (whatever well composed means) So when we first view the picy the colour should be what we notice first. Maybe start a post over at the main challenge thread.
PS. Nicely taken picy Lydia:-)

Nice action picture Lydia (may be a bit noisy, but this can be caused by my monitor resolution). But I think here is the right place to ask a general question to everybody - may be I'm wrong but for me this challenge is to present the pictures where colour(s) play(s) key role. Not composition or other aspects but colour. On this picture, f.e. not colour but action is the key element. It is colourful - not qeustion - but first what capture your attention is action. The same can be told about some other already posted pictures - they all are great and colourful but colour plays secondary role.
May be my opinion is too subjective and I'm fully wrong. I don't call to moving these pictures to pending :-) - I just want to get better understanding for myself. What do others think about ?

They seem to be having a great time, and you've captured the moment. Amazing how kids always manage to put their own "spin" on things, making them even more fun.

What a fun image Lydia, and that's really "big color" - in size and intensity! :-D CJ!

Looks like the kids are having a blast. As Penny said, these things are often so bright for safety- looks like believable color to me Lydia.

...well you have to be able to SEE it after all (toned down some with the spots and all, right?) It looks a lot bigger in the vertical position and so much more fun that way! Good one, Lydia.
