Very charming pastorql scene Sue Anne and it looks like it has lots of tones to me! Nice composition and the clouds really make the image for me! :-) CJ

very nice suanne - another one in the gallery which I could instantly recognise the photographer!

Didn't see if there was any version change, but I like this! It has all the zones nicely represented. Looks charming! I like Rod's suggestion too.

I will see what I can do Mary Ann, the original color picture didn't show the clouds but when to B&W - the clouds came thru.

Brent, Some prefer round bales to square bales but in this case, the hay is old and so round bales is easier to use as not horse hay but maybe bedding or whatever. The square bales is what most horse customers prefer.

Thanks for the comments, will try for a sharper field....

Sue Anne, to give this a real Ansel Adams feel, I'd take the whole area below the barn and work on the contrast and sharpness. I'd also try to make the sky more dramatic by brightening the clouds and darkening the sky. I'm not certain how you'd do that, but I'm sure that someone here could tell you. This shot has a lot of potential.

Well done Sue Anne. Sort of a behind the scenes look at farm life. -COAmature

Wonderful scene Suey! Has an older era feel to it. So from your other post I learned they make those bails round when it's really hot and they are being lazy sods?

Thank you for your suggestion Rod, I burned it abit more. This Ansel look isn't easy to comprehend but I think I am starting to understand it with all these tones and zones. :)

Gawd you're getting very Ansel Suey, well done:-) I would burn the bush on the left in quite a bit more (darker) for an even greater look.
