SwissAlps1

Davos (Graubünden), Switzerland

I re-post my three entries in "Exhibition"
as suggested--at least for this one of them--by "Cat the Host".

Please do feel free to play with my entries
and to show us in "Pending" what you'd do
to make them "Zone System worthy"...

Db, this belongs to exhibition. It should not be in pending.

Thank you very much for coming again to my rescue, Cat! With the numbers you indicate, though, I get an--IMO--*way* too bright image. (I may have misunderstood something, though...?)

I'd appreciate anyway if you (or anyone else, for that matter) showed me--explaining what you'll have done to the image--the result *you* would look for.

This is, BTW, one of those few Challenges I feel confronted with something absolutely new to me (having, in addition, enormous difficulties to really understand).

Ahh! Its back! Great!!!
No Db! It didn't say it fails to conform with zones systems :-) It does.
I think it currently has less tonal range in the shadows. We need to do something about it.
Just try this out: Don't remember the previous values but I redid it again.
1. Add a "levels adjustment layer" in PS.
2. click on first field of input levels, type 40
3. click on second field of the input levels, type 1.5
Thats it!

You may not like the changed output, but it will move some of the pixels from zone 4,6 & 7 to 2 and 3 and at least show you what I mean.

Hope this helps :-)
